+ Last chance to register for the Transkribus User Conference!

Ah, Vienna! The READ project team is getting excited for the first Transkribus User Conference, which will take place at the Technical University Vienna on 2-3 November 2017. We have a few places left for those who wish to join us – before registration closes on 20 October.
The conference will bring new and more experienced Transkribus users together to learn how computers can process all types of historical documents. We will hear from computer scientists who are developing techniques of Handwritten Text Recognition, Layout Analysis and Keyword Searching. We will also see how these technologies have been applied to real documents and projects from across Europe.
Participants will get the chance to try out new tools being developed by the READ project, such as our e-learning app and our ScanTent device for scanning documents with a mobile phone. The conference will also provide lots of opportunities for users to give their feedback on the Transkribus tool – directly to the developers!
Take a look at our updated programme. And for registration and more details, check out our conference page.
We look forward to welcoming you all to Vienna!
