What is the ScanTent?
The ScanTent was designed for reliable, high-quality scanning on the go. The lightweight, foldable tent is quick to set up and provides the optimal conditions for taking pictures of handwritten and printed documents. Simply put your smartphone on the universal mount at the top of the tent, switch on the built-in LED lighting—or make use of the ambient light diffused by the tent’s special photo fabric—and create quality images of your documents wherever you are.

The outside of the ScanTent has the following dimensions: (L) 460mm, (H) 480mm and (W) 630mm. The dimensions of the smartphone mount are: (L) 120mm, (W) 170mm. Books of up to (L) 450mm and (W) 580mm—approximately A3 size—can be placed in the ScanTent.
Shipping costs are determined by the destination country. We charge a single flat rate for each parcel, regardless of how many ScanTents are inside.

- Other EU countries, Switzerland, United Kingdom: €19.00 per parcel
- Non-EU countries: €39.00 per parcel
It can take up to two weeks for your ScanTent to be dispatched. However, in many cases, dispatch times are shorter.
The DocScan app was specially developed to be used in combination with the ScanTent. It allows you to take high-quality images of documents using just your smartphone, which can then be uploaded straight to Transkribus. Additionally, the app enables hands-free document scanning by taking a picture each time you turn the page.

The ScanTent is designed to counterbalance itself. Use our How to set up your Transkribus ScanTent video to assemble your ScanTent, making sure the poles are correctly inserted into both the fabric and the mount. Then adjust the tension strap at the bottom until the ScanTent is aligned.
